This is the only picture I got to take at the 4th of July parade in Oak Harbor because our battery tester FAILED us bigtime! Oh well, at least I can report that we made it there and had a good time. It was Micah's first 4th of July and parade! He was kinda fussy (cool morning here) and John ended up getting him to take a nap for the last half an hour of it. Joel & Ellie "worked hard" at candy collecting and did great at looking out for others...making sure the little ones got the soft candies and not the hard ones and even shared. They definitely ate their fair share of treats throughout the parade and then when the parade was over, I played "Let's Make a Deal": your bag of candy for a $10 toy at Wal-Mart following. Let's just say, their teeth thank them and we all won this game!!!

Joel, you are very patriotic! Love to see you with your hand over your heart! Love the idea of buying their candy, Kara. We had a resident once whose brother was a dentist, and he used to do that at Halloween!
