More Fun At A Birthday Party!

Lined up for a turn at pulling a string to get candy!

Here she blows!!! Joel still isn't keen on gathering candy from the floor...

Pretty in the tutu Larissa made for her.

Tutu Cute!

The baby girls all so adorable.

A nice running shot. Joel had so much fun playing outside in the beautiful sun with his friends.

They had a blast!

First a nap on the way.

Even Joel got one...thank God!

Eli's Frist Time Swimming

Yesterday we decided it was high time we get Elianna to the pool! At 15 months she still loves her bath, so we figured the pool would be great fun too. We were right, she had a great first experience. No jumping or blowing bubbles yet, but she enjoyed just feeling the freedom of moving in so much water and a little kicking and splashing around. I convinced Joel to jump into the pool without holding my hands twice..but the second time he went under which scared him (even though I was right there helping and holding him right after he went under). We should definately get over there more often with them!!

Making Cookies With Joel

Yesterday Joel & I made ultimate chocolate chip cookies (with peanut butter) together. Elianna was napping so I figured it was the perfect time to have a nice relaxed time letting him do most of the pouring, scooping, and stirring. He loved it! He was a delight to work with, making all sorts of excited, positive comments and even complimenting me once that I was doing a good job! So it was a fun bonding moment for us. And, well, the movie is the sweet ending of a great first baking lesson.

Fun at a Birthday Party

Ok, I knew the afternoon was going to have it's struggles because Joel refused to take a nap and Eli had only taken one in the morning. But we hadn't seen these friends in so long, I decided to brave it anyway...even if we couldn't stay long. Well, the party was full of fun outside since it was such a beautiful day and the kids had a blast. Joel particularly liked the lawn mower toy and just running around barefoot in the grass. Eli enjoyed crawling around and checking out the other babies and kids. Joel ate 2 pieces of cake (his favorite part of every party!) But, all good things come to an end...and after 2 hours Joel just couldn't play "nice" any longer so I told him it was time to say goodbye and thank the Alums for the fun party and food/cake. He would have NONE of that and threw the loudest tantrum I could imagine! Let's just say I got him out the door and to the van in record time and he was sound asleep by 6pm (Eli was too!).

Face of the Day

Sending hugs and kisses to Auntie Missy and Auntie Erica that were in the hospital this past week....get better soon!
