A Little Bit of Sunshine

Enjoy the mouthwatering picture of my Grandma B's carrot cookies with orange icing...cause I'm gonna eat them ALL (ha ha ha)!  They are so yummy, yes.  Joel especially likes these.  Elianna just likes the icing!  They are a little sunshine during these dark months of wintery weather.  Thinking of all the great times and yummy food we had at Grandma B's house...and missing her too.

We decided to give Joel & Elianna an early birthday gift!  It's a running bike that teaches them to balance; and once they master that, they're ready for a regular bike.  Joel made it all the way around the loop once on it and seems to like it.  So far he's just walking it, but I'm sure by summer he'll be running and doing tricks!  It's for ages 2-5 so it should get plenty of use and provide a fun time expending energy...if we ever get a day without rain and wind!

John had a good 32nd birthday.  We went out to eat at his favorite Mexican resturant and he opened a few cards and presents.  I got him a super nice black/grey sweater and some fleece pants that he's addicted to!  He looked so handsome in his new sweater at church this past Sunday!

We have verbal orders for Whidbey Island for the next year and a half!  That doesn't translate to anything official yet, but it's a good first step of the process at least.  We really want to stay here!!!

Serving

Ok, I know these pictures didn't turn out well...but this is the nursery at my church that I minister in.  Over the last few years I have really grown to love the kids and this place!  Sometimes, I consider this my home away from home I'm up here so often LOL.  It is chaos and hard work....fun and sweetness.  It's where the seeds of faith are sown in the littest treasures of Lighthouse.  Sometimes it's the place that makes or breaks the parents' decision whether they will make the church their home church.  I feel like I'm making an eternal difference here each Sunday as I volunteer my time and give it all I have.  Reading books, being childlike, and praying over each child are my favorite things to do here.  God bless all those who serve the babies and toddlers behind the scenes during church services, showing them the Lord and boldly planting seeds of faith that will one day grow into a rich harvest that blesses countless others around the world.

Beautiful Dress On A Beautiful Woman of God

I got this picture today and had to share because I was so happy to see my friend, Jin-Sook, getting use out of my dress (that I will never ever fit into again after having kids lol)!  She is a missionary that travels the world helping other missionaries and those in Christian leadership within Youth With A Mission (YWAM) learn the joys of how to study the Bible for themselves.  Her gentle, sincere, and loving spirit bless all those who come across her path.  Soon she will be off to India to share her love for the Word with hundreds of leaders there...pray for Jin-Sook and the many other missionaries out there equipping and strengthening the global body of Christ!

Bubble Baths

Today Joel requested a bubble bath..actually he'd have bubbles everytime if I'd let him!  He just has such a fun loving spirit!  Elianna's not opposed to bubbles, but she doesn't get as excited about them as Joel.  She's more into quiet, thoughtful exploration of them so far. She loves the bath toys and splashing a lot.  Hope they will always enjoy baths this much!!!
