Wedding Reunites Old Friends

My friends having fun at the reception's dance.

Our table at the reception

Most of my girlfriends from high school. Elizabeth, Angie, Ann, Christy (beautiful bride!), April, Heidi, JoAnne, and me slightly hidden (0:

Elizabeth, Angie, and I

It was fun and yet very weird to see everybody together for Christy's wedding after 12 years of not hanging out with them or hearing much at all from some. We missed out seeing Niki, Amy, JoLynn, and Bronson. Baby #2 was due any day for Niki and Amy had just had a baby around the time of the wedding. JoLynn & her family live far away. And Bronson's been in China for quite some time now working. Other than those 4, we were all together again. I actually stayed out until midnight chatting and watching everybody boogying on the dance floor! Crazy haven't done that in like 2 years! It was nice having the grandparents to watch the kids so I could have a break (0:

Exploring the Zoo & Farm

At the tiger exhibit with Grandma Kathy.

Checking out the prairie dogs up close.

Curious white peacock!

Too shy to pet the mini donkeys.

What is this cute furball?! She warmed up to the kittens, but surely didn't like them half as much as the dogs she's been around! Maybe because you can't give them big hugs or lean on them when you're feeling unsteady...

8 sweet kitties to hold and cuddle. Joel had alot of fun playing with them while at G & G Neuharth's farm.

4th of July Parade

We got a hot one this year here in Oak Harbor! The kids did great though. Keep the water and candy coming Mama! We had fun sitting by the Haslets, Morrows, and Smiths this year. (= These pictures are courtesy of Sara since I forget to check on my batteries...my rechargeable ones died. Joel is getting more bold to run out and get the candy. It was a long parade, so after an hour and a half we were ready to head for the hills.

Present for Potty Training!

So impressed and happy (0:

Explaining how Sarge & Lizzy match up with his Cars book.

About the time we started potty training, Joel started in with how he couldn't match up some character's in his Disney book (which contains a few Car's stories). I must have heard, "Mama, I don't have Sarge & Lizzy...I need them, I need to match them up! Mama! Sarge & Lizzy!!!" about 5 times every day for a week straight until these came in the mail from Grandma & Grandpa Telenga today! Grandma Kathy wanted to reward him for being potty trained...so I put the bug in her ear, knowing these would be his dream come true. These are the first toys I can remember him really wanting and asking for. He is obsessed with cars like any boy is, I suppose. We don't own the movie yet (for this reason!). I worry if we did, he'd never want to watch things like Boz the Green Bear, Meet the Sight Words, and Signing Time again LOL! Surely, nothing could compete with the Cars movie at this moment in time. We'll stick to the story books and metal characters for now (0:
