Long ago, God took 2 young adults and planted a seed in their hearts, each separately, about how amazing it would be to serve the Lord while working with a hospital ship that reached the poor, hurting, and forgotten with a practical touch of His love and the powerful truth of the Gospel.   In fact, John actually met THE directors of the ministry that we'll be serving with and watched their kids in Everett & San Diego, as his Navy ship was docked nearby, 17 years ago, just as we were beginning to get to know each other!

So from Whidbey Island to the Big Island--we will be putting down new roots at Youth With A Mission Ships in Kailua Kona, Hawaii, and beyond! I cannot wait to see the new growth and experiences we will have as a family!

In order to be on staff with Youth With A Mission (YWAM), John will complete a Discipleship Training School (DTS) from July 7th-Dec 3rd while I home school the kids and help them acclimate to our new life in missions.  We will spend 3 months in Kona and then 2 months on an outreach that is to be announced.

 This is the "Pacific Link" Kona based ship that we will be working with on outreach.  Yes, we all plan to go on outreach, but will not live on the ship!  The ship holds about 50 people and they believe it will be more comfortable for us to stay on land nearby the ship.
