We were blessed with a 2.5 week visit from my mom when Micah was just a little over a week old. She was stellar at putting Micah to sleep during his fussy hours. She really seemed to enjoy loving on him and her help was much appreciated! It took a lot of stress off of me and allowed me to take naps here and there. As a friend wrote recently..."What a difference a mommy makes!" Joel and Ellie enjoyed going out for frozen yogurt (Ellie), getting spoiled with new toys and candy, playing games, doing math lessons (Joel), and going mini golfing with Grandma. Next time bowling is in order!
We spent one sunny, Sat afternoon with my Uncle Ken & Aunt Connie eating lunch (they provided & it was yummy!) and chatting. We also took a short walk to Cranberry Lake..it was Micah's first time in the stroller and he DID NOT like it one bit! Hopefully our next stroll around the loop will go better! I do enjoy taking walks. Connie went through breast cancer treatment over the last year, which went well and she is looking and feeling great I think. Ken officially retired from teaching high school art and will just be subbing in during this upcoming school year. He can come teach my kids any day!
